In 19721, 11 Israeli athletes were kidnapped in Munich during the summer olympics. The German federal police learned they werent as trained or equipped to deal with such high stake situations (source).

In 2005, they formed the Bundespolizei (German Federal Police) where they really stepped up their game and are now considered to be an elite counter-terroism and special forces unit of the german police (source).

The toe area is made from ADITUFF. This material is created by adidas themselves. ADITUFF works on athletic shoes by protecting your toes and the toe area of the boots when it comes in contact with the surface.

For example, in sports like tennis, players’ toes often drag across tough tought surfaces as they move back and forth.
